I have always been fascinated by fulfilled people in all aspect of life.

There is a common missconception that this people do not exist, but i am seeing this people on my journey to improve my understading of life. To set up goals and work to reach them.

So i thought it will be a bood idea to read books of people that have studied happiness, fullfillment, what is looks like and who enjoys it.

This way I come across "The happiness Hypothesis" is written by Jonathan Haidt that teaches psychology in University of Virginia and studies positive psychology.
This are some concept and saying from this great book

Shakespeare: " There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so"
So next time you think, that world that your boss/ friend/ teacher said was bad , try to be in Shakespeare world- is only your thinking that makes it so.

Buddha said- "Our life is the creation of our mind"
Next time you come from work/ UNI or intership and say that was a terrible day, rephrase and think is it only your mind. How would you have reacted if were in a different state, like it was day before Christmas, or the day before your holidays? Was it really a bad day or are you tired and not very good to administer time and relationship and get stressed.

I was blown away by Jim Rohn teaching and expression " Don't wish it was easier, wish you were better"

This book encourage the idea of ACCEPTANCE. This idea was precticed throughout philosophy . Phylosophers counselled people to break their emotional attachment to people and events, which are always unpredictable and uncontrollable and to cultivate attitude of acceptance.

Another idea from this great book is MEDITATION that done over several months can help reduced fear, negative thoughts. BUDDHA- " When a man knows the solitude of silence, and feels the joy of quiteness, he is then free from fear and sin"

"Things won are done,  joy soul lies in the doing "- Shakespeare. Set your self for any goal, most of the pleasure will be along the way. The author has studies of people that won lottery versus people that become paraplegic ( unable to move limbs) aftre an accident. This initial reaction is completely different , but within a year the both groups returned to their level of happiness. I can hear you say WHAT??????????????????
Is what is sad to, but remember the author is not asking for approval this are studies with people and this a quick explanation.
The lottary winner buys a new house, new care, quit his job and eats better. Whithin a few months the contrast blurs and the pleasure fades. After a few months the new comforts have become the new baseline of life and sometimes the money might damage the relationships and people are harassed for their money.
On the other side a qudriplegic like Stephen Hawking said. My expectations were reduced to zero whne i wan tewnty-one. Everything since then is a bonus" This is the adaptation principle as work.

Buddha and other phylosophers a his time proposed " HAPPINESS COMES FROM WITHIN, AND IT CAN NOT BE FOUND BY MAKING THE WORLD CONFORM TO YOUR DESIRES"

The second finding after research is THAT  environmental and demographic factors influence happines very little your happiness. YESSSSSS, i did not write it wrongly.

Read this and drop a line if interested, what are your thoughts???????? do you agree and why not ??????
