On a daily bases we are bombarded with information on different angles, outside while driving , inside on laptop and work. There has never been so much information and research into what we should do to get a result to get to good life and happiness.
I am always searching into what we can do to promote change in our life , I mean empowering change as there is clearly more disempowering ones going around. The pub and social environment looks better than water and a run in a rainy day. The big plate of pasta and a dessert looks better that a green smoothy.
I am getting obsessed to find ways around into how to train our most amazing part of our body the brain to come to our aid and help us be in change. To know how to and where to go we need to understand where we are.
The phenomena is called "homeostasis" , for those of you not strong in biology means the nature of our body to keep in status quo.
You go out in the heat and you body start to sweat, which is a good way to release heat and energy and the body is trying to maintain his ideal body temperature with good reason so the organs can function well.
You go out in the cold and you start to shiver, this is turns create energy and warms you up although not for long so you need a cover or to go in a warm place to get to homeostasis again and you body will be happy again.
The mind is small compared to other parts of the body but consumes 20-25% of the body energy. The brain takes short cuts and remembers pattern so can save energy, but we can train our brain to get results. There is great field of neuroscience that has been looking into this for years to come to our aid.
short tips to help you train your brain.
1. Visualisation. everyday for 5min imagine the end results of what you are trying to achieve.
Make is as clear as vivid as colourful as you can. put a date on it, feel how is going to feel like when you achieve it, what smell you think is going to be dominant, what colour, what sounds can you attach to it.
The great relationship, the best body , double you income , great relationship with your child.
2. Learn to juggle. YES YES YES i didn't misspell that. It is proven that it increases attention massively and peripheral vision. Once you attention is increased you will find it easier to focus on your target.
start with 2 balls or 2 apples and try to get to 3 things to juggle.

3. Listen 30min day of binaural beats on the background , this has the capacity to increase your vigilance and affect your mood. Plus the other benefit on pain, anxiety , pre-op surgery.
4. Set up a morning HOUR OF POWER routine. If allowed i will put the first ingredient.
Mindfulness 5-10 min day. look at headspace app for a start or just free lovely you tube. Learns how to focus and have a positive outlook on life.

5. Listen to 30min motivational speech in the car, home. Many people waste their precious time with irrelevant and energy draining things like news and discussion shows.
Zig Ziglar my favourite speaker was asked once, this motivational speeches don't last and he responded " neither does bathing that is why you have to take it very day"

I can hear you say I don't have the time.
I was the same when you don't have a focus and a big desire you don't have the time. Make that time very early in the morning or very late in the evening. The results will astound you and give you power to do more. All the successful people in sports, business S. Jobs, R. Branson, O. Winfrey have a morning routine.
Make 1 change every 21 days and rewire you brain .
