I am getting very interested on the subject of happiness as I find that so many people that I come across are lacking it and it is making me inspired to find ways to teach people to start a small revolution that will embrace the world.
I know many people have lost hope of happiness and they don't think is achievable and maybe that is the reason why they don't pursue and fight me when i talk about happiness, but i am determined.
Happiness is the currency of life and the pursuit of it is worthing spending time on.
For every dream or very goal that you pursue eagerly of secretly and don't do anything, if I ask you WHY you want it at the end of several why's we will come to happiness.
Why do you want a well payed job?
So I can live comfortable?
Why do you want to live comfortable?
because if will make me happy?
I want to start a non-profit organisation?
Why do you want to do that?
Because I want to help people in need?
Why do you want to help people in need?
Because I can find help for them and they can't do it them self?
Why do you want to spend you time and effort in that?
Because I want to make them happy?
Why do you want to make them happy?
Because it will make my life meaningful ?
Why do you think that?
Because I will be happy?
We are all in pursuit of happiness and we put names on it sometimes outside our control and sometimes inside out control but the end game is happiness.
There is another trick that I discovered in my weekly book " The way of the seal"- by Mark Divine
During the seal training, the Apache scouts, yoga training they adapt an attitude of 20X factor. Which means explaining to the trainee that they are capable of 20 times more than they think and push them in training to get to experience that.
Comfort imprisons us in a low-grade fear of suffering. We naturally shy away from things that hurt, not understanding how much that works gives us strength and stamina. We must define our comfort zone and get out of it. In the seal they do the 1 week training, gruelling, little sleep , but in our every day life we can other things not just physical.
Like the author suggest you can commit to 60 days of daily yoga, or 60 days of writing in your journal about a habit that you want to change, of 60 day of playing the piano or guitar and treat your self in the end.
Although to create a new habit the UNI of Oxford noticed that we need 66days you can do that and see.
I am starting a challenge of waking up at 5am from my usual 7am.
Some other challenges can be to read 10pages of a fantastic book every night for 66 days.
Walk at home for 3h with you blindfolded to get you perception sharper ( This was taken by one of the challenges recommended on stuart Wilde books.
Who wants to join me on this challenge and we can keep each -other accountable?
have a great rest of the week.
